Thanks to his psi-crystal Nev was able to give us a running report on how Friaya was getting on. Fraiya had managed to sneak past the Emerald Claw camp and move further into Rose Quarry towards what looked like a pair of mostly intact buildings. It appeared my initial observations about the ruined village being devoid of life were premature as Fraiya passed one or two, fairly new looking trees.
The two buildings that Fraiya wanted to investigate were situated on opposite sides of the road. One was constructed of a distinctive red brick, although it was covered in a thin layer of glass like most of ruins. A steady white light was radiating up from inside suggesting that it was both illuminated and lacked a roof.
As he moved closer he could make out a pair of figures standing about forty feet beyond the buildings. Wearily he moving up to the back of the red brick building and made an attempt to climb the wall so he could peak inside but the slick exterior defeated him. He circled around to the front As he did he came across a grizzly sight, the corpses of dead dwarves, perhaps once miners from the quarry, lying on the floor and covered in a thick layer of glass.
From the light spilling out of the front door way of the red brick building Fraiya could make out the symbols of The Sovereign Host on the building opposite strongly suggesting it was a church. The ringing noise was much clearer there, perhaps issuing from the rear of the church or just behind it.
