The corridor in which we had fought with, and barely, triumphed over, the Dolguant was filled with menace. All the usual, subterranean noises seemed to have taken on a new, more sinister aspect and the cold air that rolled out of the room to envelope us seemed to me to promise the chill of the grave. I doubt there were six people in (and under) Sharn so alert for the first sign of danger as my companions and I as we entered the room.
We reached the centre of the room, everything seemed to be as we left it, and turned our attention to the corner of the chamber, almost a room in it's own right, where the chest stood. Once more my eyes were drawn to the thick fields of mould that grew on the walls near the chest. Mould and cold, what did that remind me of? Then it came to me, while researching Dolgrim I had read about some of the other dangers that come from Kyber and they included many species of predatory mould and slime. One such species was called "Brown Mould" and it fed on heat. It could literally suck the heat out of anything it came into contact with, often with deadly results. After I had shared this with my companions Fraiya offered to go up and inspect the chest but before he had got within five feet of it we could already see frost forming on his cloak and hair. Fraiya decided on a different approach and, after quickly popping back the central chamber where we had fought the grey axe-men, returned with twenty feet or so of rope.
